  • Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, there will be a briefing to go over the trek, check your climbing gear, and review safety procedures to ensure a smooth start to your adventure.

  • After breakfast, you will drive approximately 4–5 hours to Mount Kenya National Park, the starting point of your trek. You will begin your climb on the Sirimon Route, which provides a gentle introduction to the mountain and helps with acclimatization. The trail winds through lush montane forests, where you may spot unique birds and endemic plants, before reaching Old Moses Camp, your first overnight stop.

On the third day, the trek continues through the mountain’s heath and moorland zone, passing scenic landscapes such as the Timothy Plateau and striking rock formations. This stretch allows you to experience the mountain’s higher altitude environment while continuing to acclimatize. You will spend the night at Shipton’s Camp, located at approximately 4,200 meters, providing the perfect base for the summit attempt.
The summit day begins very early, usually around 2:00–3:00 am. You will ascend through rugged terrain toward Point Lenana (4,985 meters), the trekking peak of Mount Kenya. As you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with breathtaking sunrise views over the surrounding peaks and valleys, a truly unforgettable experience. After soaking in the scenery, you will descend back to Shipton’s Camp for an overnight rest.
After breakfast, you will continue descending through the moorlands and forests toward Old Moses Camp, retracing part of the trail while enjoying the changing scenery from high altitude to lower zones. The descent allows your body to recover from the summit effort while providing more opportunities to appreciate the mountain’s beauty. Overnight will be spent at Old Moses Camp or a nearby lodge.
On the final day, you will complete the descent to Naro Moru Gate, where the trek officially ends. You can collect your summit certificate as a memento of your achievement. Afterward, you will be transferred back to Nairobi for departure or an optional overnight stay, bringing your Mount Kenya climbing adventure to a close.
